Let me apologize for being so delinquent in updating our latest news section of our web site. Higher Praise has had a pretty busy December and a busy start to 2012.
Some of you know, and some of you don't know, that James L. Graham, Deanna's father graduated to his heavenly home on December 13, 2011. James was a gracious and prayerful supporter of our little trio. The pain of not having him around is felt daily. We miss him pointing that long finger at us and saying, "You stay in the Bible, keep your eye on the Lord and not on man, He'll bless your singing." He was a good man. He was committed to a strong work ethic and a strong commitment to God.
I'd like to tell you a brief story. I was passing on a joke to James several years ago. This joke was very humorous to me, I laughed and laughed, almost to tears. This was a decent joke, and very respectful in nature. But funny! In telling this joke to James, I expected a good belly laugh. That's not what happened. He barely chuckled and said, "Yep, that's a good joke." A thinking man with a tender heart. His voice would break in the prayers he prayed, even though he tried not to let it happen. He is so very much better off than we are. Thanks, James L.
